Running the above machine and happy with it.

Starting to doubt the auto greaser as has only used half tube in 280 bales the other day.

Can I force grease through some way to ensure all working etc??

Can see a fitting of some kind on side of block at pump but looks air line like??

No mention in any books.....

On Fusion atleast there's a setting in the menu for the greaser.

If it's the same as a Fusion, that fitting on the pump is for bleeding the pump when you fit a new tube of grease. You can also bleed it by not fully tightening the grease tube holder and giving it a wiggle until grease appears around the threads. No experience of the 550 so no idea how long a tube of grease should last

That's fine. You can do more damage by over greasing. Would you of used half a tude greasing her in the morning if it didn't have auto grease. I think not. Ours uses 1 every 500 bales and I don't stress about running out

Our v660 did similar the other week. I came to the conclusion that the cartridge had air locked so swapped it for a new one. Which seemed to cure it.

Sometimes you get a dodgy tube, put a new one in and take the breather screw out, open the door a few times (just open a little bit not fully open for pump to work) you should see grease oozing out, i also sometimes undo a pipe that feed one of the bearings to see if grease is coming through.

any way of checking an oiler? its the 5500 I have here, told all the same as a 550.

changed the first grease tube there and had about 1/3 left in the old one, if the nest is the same should I set it up a bit to over 300 bales?

It,s only a guide, i change mine around 400 bales, that way you know the grease cartridge is empty.
