Mchale 991be auto issue

Got my self an issue, i have the old stye switch minitor, i power on my monitor everything works perfect in manual but as soon as i switch it to auto it powers off the screen, any ideas?

Are you using a beacon on the wrapper???

Years ago from we had one but the red swith would play up at times on ours, was then told the switches can be iffy on them but McHale would only change the box rather than change it.
I changed ours & end of problem, you could bypass it with a bit of wire just to see?

Ah yess could be an issue as i did hear a faint weird buzzing sound from that end of the box when i pluged it in, ill try it out in the new year cheers
