Cut this 4'6" Welger 520 straw bale in half with an old hay knife (a bit similar to @jamesy's)

You wouldn't want to be doing too many though - well, not unless you were on some sort of fitness trip :facepalm:

That is what want to do , will have to get a 4 ft long blade for recip saw ,or find an old parmiter block cutter , or better still not fecking bother and sleeve a rollant and make narrow bales ,
