Mchale Fusion 3 plus

Hi,

I’m running a fusion 3 plus and the chamber pressure drops off in to the yellow before coming back up as the bale is made, the bales seem solid enough but I assume it should stay at the charge pressure ?

I hear people saying about changing a copper washer in the density block but where about is this located or any other ideas on what it could be

Unscrew the relief valve next to the bale density adjuster but stop tractor and let pressure off the door by lifting and lowering door valve from in the cab. Then unscrew relief valve carefully . Best to cover with a rag and be careful to catch everything. Once removed replace washer and valve.
Get half a dozen washers as sometimes it can take more than one attempt to sort.

Tried a couple of times it still seems to be dropping the pressure off to like 80bar when fully screwed in the original washer didn’t look great though

It’s about getting the placement right. Look for cracks but my money is on trying again and again until got it.
can be door ram seals but copper washer way more likely

Its crimping each wash a bit but it looks even, I was wondering weather it could be the accumulator
probably best if you get your accumulator tested for pressure we had similar issues with our f5500 tested the accumulator and it was 30 bar instead of 50 bar the new one from mchale is now larger and 75 bar so it may have been an issue with them

Accumulator was found to be at fault so switched that, it seems to hold pressure at 120/130bar now on gauge should it go higher that’s with the adjuster fully in

Don’t know about a fusion but our 5500 one can go up to 170 bar( still on green sector)
Probably a silly question but the pressure on your spool hasn’t been lowered/ not giving full pressure
