Mealworms

Bloody hell these are the same price per kilo as a Waitrose pork roasting joint.

Anyone producing these, or could this be the next big thing in sustainable protein production?

I buy a lot of mealworms for my chickens and funnily enough was just reading the other day about breeding them for that purpose. They are practically maintenance free it would seem.....

That's bulk. The ones I saw were in 1/4kg bags.

I was talking to a friend who is a beardy sandals type who says that his chums would eat them but they can only get them from Asia rather than the UK. I was wondering if the feed conversion ratio was half-decent?
