Meningitis in Cattle

Got a Male weanling around 380kgs and his eyes are swollen and are pushed out. I have been treating him for meningitis. Vet has prescribed an antiinflamintry and 20mls 0f Noricillen each day. He is feeding fairly well he is putting a very small blood discharge with the fecee,'s today.
Has anyone previous experience of Meningitis in cattle and what antibiotics did you use to Cure it.

I’ve had 2 calves in the past with it, if you catch them early and hit them hard with abs I’ve had success in treating it

You need to give them big doses of penicillin to cure it plus loxicom

Yes that is the way and keep going with the antibiotic for quite a long time

We had one years ago. Clearly unwell, vet came looked over the gate and said meningitis. It was half grown I would say. Anyway, it recovered with treatment. Not had another to date.
