They sell well here and are very well made . The local co-op has one with a 6 ton spreader on it working every day of the week and doing a lot of road work. Seems a great outfit.

Ah right, looks expensive just to take the weight off the back of the tractor, or is there any other benefit to it?
Take the weight off tractor but also means a much smaller lighter tractor can be used and the weight spread across 8 wheels rather than four (almost two when spreader fully loaded). Like the idea of trailed but huge price increase over mounted and thought the bogie might outlast two or three spreaders so long as kept in good condition.

Our tramlines are out at 88” centres which would help to make it stable maybe! Hopefully I will find someone that has one and be able to ask these sorts of questions.
Here is the phone number of the man who makes them , he will know more than anybody. He's a very sound guy. 00353879544523.

Yes they do and we are thinking of putting it on 600/55 26.5 Michelin’s which will be able to run about 8-10psi

good idea then - we have a bateman demount 4t K45 that we use when doing solids that we recently converted yo trailed to take the pressure off the sprayers workload, very happy with how its worked. didn't make it steering though as its use is mostly lime , kalphos, fibrophos MOP / TSP etc

Are the spreading vanes not too high on this type of setup? Even more too high on a demount? My spreader instruction book (I know, shock horror )says 85 / 88 cm above the ground.
