Anybody running one? What are they like in fields and towing specifically?
There's new models out now, a 55.9 should lift 5.5 tonnes...I'd imagine 3 tonnes of wheat will be no botherDon’t know about towing , when I had one on demo in 2011 ish they wouldn’t stand bye the warranty if I put a 6.25cum bucket on it for grain
Quite liked it to drive

How much does your bucket weigh?I was wanting 3.75tons of osr
Was enquiring too. Too heavy for field work? Can it comfortably lift 3 ton of wheat?
I can load artic in 4and half mins if lorry is in the shed and not toe tip and boom fully inDon't go for the biggest capacity bucket: buy a toe-tip or a 4 in 1 from Merlo themselves, you will load lorries much much faster than with almost any size conventional bucket as there is so much time saved by not tipping and boom extending. It's hard to describe but it adds up over many cycle times.

Can’t see how it would be quicker as you would have a smaller bucket for a start and would probably cost twice as much to buy toe tip bucketNo doubt but you will do it even faster with a toe tip/4 in 1. You only have to put the bucket over the top and swoosh it's tipped out in a blink. It was sceptical like you- just gimme a bigger handler and bucket but a friend showed me them loading trucks with a Volvo loading shovel and the toe tip makes a big difference despite the loss of capacity.

Other thing is it’s easy to drop bucket off and put brush on loader for sweeping up in between lorry’s if there’s a gap
I prefer air con and no dustThey used a leaf blower....
Any one experience with 4 cbm bucket (3 ton) of wheat on 55.9?
I reckon something like this would be better than a toe tip
