I’ve a 40.7 with no brakes where’s do I start looking? It’s full of fluid and handbrake works. I’ve read somewhere that it could be from lack of use but would like to get them working if not to expensive. TIA

We had the same when we has one.Use to strip them down and give a good clean every six months. It helped but they were never that good in the first instance. The 42.7 we have today has very good brakes.I’ve a 40.7 with no brakes where’s do I start looking? Ya there’s no pressure on the pedal and it’s full of fluidIf it no brake what’s so ever I’d say bleeding them first and make sure callipers actually work .
Defo need bled , get someone to help you two person job one to press peddle and one to tighten slacken screw , might even need bit of pipe into fluid off screw , did a motor bike other day had to use a syringe to back feed to get to work.Ya there’s no pressure on the pedal and it’s full of fluid
Crack the bleed nipple on front caliper see if it starts running. Gravity should push the fluid through. Then do the rear.Ya there’s no pressure on the pedal and it’s full of fluid
