Give him a big rent increase he wont want to pay, then get him out if he fails to pay. Why no lease, big mistake.
Thanks for reply . Yes no lease big mistake . It was very informal at the start but has got out of hand . I need a specialist solicitor . Do u know of one ? Regards

Hi , I am the main tenant of the farm responsible to a managing agent who work for the landowners . I have a sub tenant who is the messy sub tenant . Managing agents are aware however have left it to me as he is my sub tenant . I hope this clears up yr question . Nothing iffy I have been here 20 years with no issues until this guy .

Thanks for replies but it’s not as simple as that seems the law is more on his side . I really need a solicitor and I’m wondering if anyone on here can recommend one ?

Contact the Tenant Farmers Association, if you are a member already they'll give you a steer on what best to do and also give you a recommendation on a good tenancy lawyer.

You need to physically remove him I am afraid. He'll have to much tenure, even without a lease, to do anything legally without spending thousands. All he has to do is show a court every single rental invoice and that will prove a tenancy of a fashion. I would start by scraping all of his mess as he will struggle to prove its his. It could easily be farm scrap and you could argue that point till the cows come home.
