Met Office thunderstorm warnings????

Why do we need a Met Office thunderstorm warning!!!
For goodness sake thunderstorms seem rare nowadays and they are part of our summer weather.Do some members of society get taken in by weather “hype” published by the press , who only print the “extremes” of every ,partly true story ,they print :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I don’t pay much attention to the met, but I will say that I can’t ever recall having as many thunderstorms in close succession as we’ve had here in the last week! On our 3rd one of the day now ⚡?⚡?⚡??‍♂️

Our local weather forecaster is pretty good. Warning of very heavy rain and thunderstorms is handy, we have had flash flooding locally today.

Means we can not be at the far side of 70 acre of away ground fencing when it hits. Youngstock can be shifted off the flood plain if needed. Milk cows can come in an hour earlier and eat a bit of buffer. Rather than trying to get 250+ off heavy water logged clay ground and making a right mess.

If you have a local weather forecaster that is reasonably accurate , it must be very useful to you.

Off topic.
A forecaster on TFF charges you just to call them, and that is not for a forecast :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
They also do not reply to my emails.
Needless to say I have cancelled my direct debit for their services.:mad:
