MF-135 - Please HELP! - fergy not starting - see video.

Yes, think it was to bypass the ballast resistor on the 8Volt ignition coil when you go for a start (petrol).
Had it other applications?
I've come across various spurious starters that have used this as a release for electric stoppers unsure is this is factory procedure (which I doubt) but non the less.
Also people do drafts things when wiring is involved and the wrong terminals are to hand
A little bit of knowledge is dangerous:ROFLMAO:

If that wire feeds the ignition switch then the warning light won't be working.

But at the moment I wonder why we're bothering since the OP seems to not be interested.

Even if he's solved the problem a thanks wouldn't go amiss.
You know I've just thought the same thing

My next post was going to be split the tractor and fit a new clutch but remove the sump 1st

Don't know why we bother sometimes :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Anyway it's good for us to have a yak(y)(y)

I was trying to place the accent, either Aussie or Kiwi, so he's probably posted his query on a dozen forums and been inundated with replies! There's certainly plenty about 135s on the net and Youtube. But nice to read what you guys have to say anyway.:)

Thanks everyone for the valuable advice. Yeah I can see there's some tidying up to do with all them wires and I think I'll eventually do a complete rewire of this loom of wires. That'll get the dials working again etc.
As it happens, when undoing one of the wires I found the connection was just a fraction loose - so I tightened that up and it went.

Having said that, I take on board all the advice given from all of you as that will help in fixing up various things and preventing new trouble.
So thanks heaps everyone!

And yeah, I finished putting the paddock into rows.
