I'm not sure, the drill belongs to a neighbour who no longer uses it and offered to sell it to me, he said it was grain only, i haven't even lifted the lids!Did they come in grain only?, only seen grain and fert! I know of a nearly scrap 15 coulter one.
The photo shows the metering at the rear, the grain was at the front so the driver could see them all on the dual system
i suspect this is what might have been done to this one to increase capacity of grain, was unsure how much might have been removed thoughMost definitely it can, i have done it. Yes they were grain and fertilizer. Remove the centre partition and block fertilizer outlet and you have a grain only drill. I have the centre partition if any one is interested. (free).
I think he wants it the other way round- its grain only and he wants to make it grain and fert? Thats the way I read it anyway? Most definitely it can, i have done it. Yes they were grain and fertilizer. Remove the centre partition and block fertilizer outlet and you have a grain only drill. I have the centre partition if any one is interested. (free).
it was a removable partition, shaped so it could be reversed to suit amount of fert, we took ours out for grain only, blanking plates slid in each meter unit on the rear fert side.i suspect this is what might have been done to this one to increase capacity of grain, was unsure how much might have been removed though
Thanks, will go for a closer inspection this eveningI always thought they made a grain only drill too but could be wrong. They were a bit before my time although I do have a grain and fert one here blanked off like mentioned above to hold only grain.
If the op has a look it will be easy enough to tell if its grain only, grain and fert or grain and fert blanked off to hold only grain.
that photo looks like g&f drill.Does anyone know, if it is possible to convert a grain only MF 30, to grain and fert? Thanks in advance
I've a 30 grain and fert here looking for a new home.
