MF 5465 - Dyna-4 - Clutch pedal problems

Hi!

After having problems with my MF5465 Dyna-4 i found at the problem was related to the bottom-of-clutch switch (BOC). The faulty part had replacement 4374044M1, which combines both BOC and safety switch in one solid state switch.

However, after replacing the part, I became aware that the clutch does not fully disengage when completely pressed. If I only use the Dyna-4 Powershift module you won't notice the problem - but as soon as you try to de-clutch using the clutch pedal the tractor keeps moving.

How can I calibrate the clutch pedal travel with my MF 5465 Dyna-4? The only method of calibration I have been able to find is for versions of the tractor which have tortoise/rabbit gears (which my does not). In the service manual it also says that:

Calibrating the clutch pedal
The pedal calibrates itself during use. Each time the
clutch is disengaged then re-engaged (BOC then TOC),
the Autotronic 5 gradually re-adjusts its calibration
parameters to centre the potentiometer range
correctly according to the pedal travel.

GUF574.7

Well, the pedal does never completely disengage and it does certainly not calibrate itself automatically - I've had this problem for months.

Depending on software version a clutch cal was brought in. Not to do this the first step I do is start tractor liven gearbox switch tractor off then turn key on fast so gearbox is still live then press pedal and hold up power shuttle lever.

Wow, I'll try it and report back! I tried something similar, but that was a procedure for an MF combine with the same BOC switch replacement, and didn't involve one full press and release of the clutch pedal first - OR turning on and off before. :)

So, I tried it and it didn't work. Can this be related to software versions in my tractor? I think it must be a 2004/2005 model or around there.

I tried several things. As you recommended, starting and activating the tractor first, then turning off and turning on ignition. Also tried just turning on the ignition (not starting the motor first) and follow the procedure in the image you attached.

[Edit: when I wrote what is below, I didn't fully get that the manual page posted by Southmec32 referred to "Powershuttle arm lever PowerControl ]
Can it be that you look at a different model? I have been reading in the Manual, and it does not describe my tractor having "PowerShuttle" only "PowerControl" lever (which I mistakenly mistook for PowerShuttle lever). In my tractor I have this:

and a right-hand console lever:

The service manual I have bought, does not describe a manual way of calibrating the clutch pedal for the Dyna-4. It only says it is automatic:

But, since it does not fully disengage the clutch when pedal is pressed after I replaced the BOC switch, the automatic calibration is not enough. I thought there must be a way to do it manually.

When you fit that new switch, it needs setting in the correct position to give the correct reading with the pedal up or down. Quickest way to do this is with a dealer laptop as it displays as 0 or 100%.

If your handy with a multi meter you should see a value of less than 1.37 v with the switch open and greater than 1.6v with the switch closed. You need the shuttle lever in forward position to measure this and then cycle the clutch pedal to measure the values. Adjust the switch if your values are outside of these. Once that’s right, you then do that calibration.

So, I can't enter into calibration mode because the pedal is out of range? That is, as the pedal never goes to 0 % I am not able to get into the calibration described by Southmec32?
