I wouldn't like to say which way to turn it or by how much, the chap who did mine worked for CAT (formally perkins) engines in shrews. I remember him saying there is an access port on the block side of the pump, but obviously you can't get to it. So top off, you will soon see which bolt, as its opposite the blanked off port. I recall it being a very small bronze coloured bolt with a 4 or 5 mm (iirc) head. He just adjusted it, reassembled it and said try that. It's never been touched since.

As @Henarar says, it may be a case of trial and error one turn at a time.

The access porthole can be used for more extreme adjustment when the top screw is at the end of its adjustment. It requires a bent and partly sawn off ring on a ring spanner to reach however many bolts are needed to slacken the ring off and slide it round and retighten.
It has been many years, decades even since I helped do this and it was on my Deere 6200 on which the porthole happened to be on the outer side, as indeed it was on earlier Perkins engines such as the 236 and 248.

Just had a look on YouTube and this is basically how it works.

Obviously you don't need to strip it down and the porthole for access to the two bolts to slacken to turn the ring can be seen with the blue Perkins tab. The two bolts holding the cover in place is usually sealed by a wire joining the two.

If it's turbo'ed they do, our 4355 has a boost actuator whereas the 6260 doesn't. It's actually a good point @Billyirishman has it always been sluggish or has it noticeably lost power of recent? If the latter is the case it could well be the actuator diaphragm has split.

Yes she has been sluggish since i got her about 2 year ago. Where abouts does that diaphragm sit. Heard about it also.

We had a 4370 before the 62, exact same thing was going on with her. Sent the pump away to get done up and boosted out and he done a mighty job. Turned out a real lively tractor.
Looks like the same pump as the 62 (i think).

Don't think the 70 has the boost, it works off the exhaust, on ours there is no pipe to work it, but there is on our 80.

I've no idea how you adjust the fuelling on it and am not even sure if this is basically similar to the older Lucas DPS [as opposed to DPA] pump. This is the first tie I've seen one of these stripped down.

The little bolt in the centre of this screenshot is the one he adjusted. Iirc he only gave it a turn and a half, Which way I couldn't tell you.
