I did exactly the same. Made no difference. I'd make some steel ones if I still had the tractor.Mine leaked from the joint where the two halves bolt together. I replaced the socket head bolts with slightly longer ones and fitted washers on them to spread the load. Also when I put the halves back together I put some non setting locktite on the rubber seal. It took some time but didn't cost much and no leaks for several of years now.
I think they are comparable with the plastic ones.Anyone know what price these are?
How many times a day does the compressor kick in? Mine pumps up when I start the tractor and then about every hour but I cannot find a leak . Is this normal?
Call me mad but my 07 6470 doesn't have any accumulators. Doesn't look like a bodge. Someone once suggested the 4-pots didn't have them. I guess you have had a tier 2 - can you confirm/deny? Nothing to leak, but surely not as cushioned a ride...I had a 11 plate 6470 and every morning the cab was right down and the compressor kicked in as soon as I put the ignition on, I also still have another 11 plate 6470 and I never hear the compressor running. Think its just one of those things.
Tier 3, 08 and 11 plate 6470 all had them. My 06 6455 didn't have any.Call me mad but my 07 6470 doesn't have any accumulators. Doesn't look like a bodge. Is it just me, I can't see your picture but as I'm not at all impressed with the cab suspension on my 7480 im interested in the possible options of 5400 or fendt 700 series conversions.I got a pair of MF5400 cab struts for my 7480, since the compressor expired after 11000hrs, the airbags were well perished and at least one of the tanks leaked. To replace the whole air suspension system was iirc about 2 grand in parts. These two were £200 apiece. Brilliant. (yes I know, it needs a bath!)
Not just you - I'd like to see as well.Is it just me, I can't see your picture but as I'm not at all impressed with the cab suspension on my 7480 im interested in the possible options of 5400 or fendt 700 series conversions.
