MF 6480 air con

Hi all, got a 6480 with climate control, had the air con re gassed as the air con was poor, it was short on gas so thought that would be the problem but now noticed today that the air con compressor kicks in and out every 10 seconds and doesent seem to be very cold. Is it kicking in and out like this normal? Thanks

no mine stays on, you need to fill it by weight, there is something somewhere tellig you how much it takes

The lad definatly done the job right, one of our other tractors his machine told him that there was too much in, and they were pressure checked for any leaks

What would cause it to kick in intermittently? Dodgy relay or thermostat perhaps?

With the CC systems on masseys, the electronic thermostats are known to go faulty, so start there **if** you are totally certain the system has been charged correctly.

As a test, jump compressor clutch wire to 12v and see if air gets markedly colder. If yes thermostat. If not really, gas charge.

First things first get a ladder and a 10mm spanner and open the roof and clean the matrix out
I guarantee the matrix is clogged

Will check again, done that last spring and was alot better although wasnt having the same symptoms.

Blast it out with the biggest compressor you can get your hands on and the drain tubes in the b pillars
