Hi all. I’ve got a 6480, when I bought it dealer said it does 47-48 kph (he drove it) best I could make it do is 43kph with both hand throttle and foot. In all gears it revs round to 2300rpm but in top gear revs just to 2000rpm. Does anybody know anything regarding this? I’m doing more road work currently it’s not major but would help. Thanks

How old, which gearbox?

It sounds like yours is a standard 40k, the eco ones are terrible (43k at 2300rpm in a gear away from top, or 43kph at 1700rpm in top. Right pain to drive.)

We have one like yours (2006 Dyna 6) and a 2010 one thats 50k. Unless you're covering big distances on good roads the 40k one is fine, much less gear changing, it just holds on and keeps going

2006. Well I thought it was just standard but salesman and mechanic said it does 47k,
Would benefit from being faster it’s a long haul and A roads

All of our 50k Fergies read 53kph on the speedo flat out, but a shade under that in reality. A 40k Dynashift and a 40k Dyna6 both do 43kph flat out. The salesman is ottering cobblers. Has it been but on really small diameter wheels or something?

Dynashift? Apparently there is a fuse you pull to make them rev out and they will do that speed but they aren't really designed for it neither is it legal. I think you lose the dash as well when you pull it

Thanks for the reply, unsure really it’s funny how he mentioned it but it’s not a problem so I’ll leave it be. Cheers
