Right the toys are really out the pram  not super red it just started with the 600s the 35 35X and the 65 are slightly darker ...:D what about the air filter intake grill ?:sneaky:
A lad in the mf garage told me there is only one red colour from early days up to present tractors.
I got a sample of stonleigh grey and it seems very light compared to original colour.

There is many different shades of red and grey,
The reds changed over the years cost cutting
One coat applied
Change supplier
Etc
Earlys are darker/deeper though over later ones even the last 100series had a change of paint
As the pigments turned orange over time where as early ones went dull red or pinky.
Also the Grey's are different shades to
The light Grey's look poop
In the factory they wanted tractors out the door they really weren't to fussed ok they had standards yes but
Grey fergies they were knocking 300 + tractors a day out
You don't manage that wandering around with a clip board and check list :LOL:

Heck even the fenders came in a tipper type lorry packed with straw as padding (y)

Maybe post box red would be a better match of the old colour, than MF red?

Post box red is rather a dirty red in my opinion!!! Have a look at Radiant Red, pretty much the same as Ducati red, a MC resprayer in the yard, whenever he does any Ducati's, they are done in Radiant Red, the colour match is spot on!
The Stoneliegh Grey seems a bit light, what is the darker grey they use please? If push comes to shove I will order Stoneliegh Grey and add some black until I am happy with it but just wondered if anyone has a decent dark grey they use?
