no i mean, the fact you said it was worth SFA, yet its a multi power even you say does not work, it would still be worth a lot more that a half decent old tractor, to sell it, and buy the likes of an international / Leyland davy broon, you would still have change left over ,Do you mean its ideas like this that made space travel possible
thats a proper set up, a power assisted, the OP says it dont have that, and wants to fit hydrostaic steering
I had thought the ram was much higher up, about level with the top of the steering pillar, but I'm tired and my mind plays tricks we me sometimes
that came from Ron greet about ten years ago, but if anyone buys one make sure you get the arm that clamps to the bottom of the steering pin and connects to the track rods because it is different from none power steeringI'd imagine it would be hard to get that for a 65, unless someone had one lying in the shed.
I never saw one before, on a high up drag link like that
whats the problem ?The standard power steering is ok if working right,, but will drive a sane man mad trying to
set up a non working one
You wouldn't want to go on the neighbours, unless there different with you ................
In their defense, I think it was hard to get the same level of assistance in both directions, if memory serves me correct. If you had a bad ball joint, it would be even harder.
You're not a Zetor man ..................
the trouble is when there is some wear in the valve linkage the power steering stops working, some will try to correct this by messing with the valve linkage which is the right thing to do if you have lost the steering in one directing
if you have lost it in both directions you have to slacken off the tapered adjuster so you have more free play so the valve will work again, this is fine if you only use the tractor round the yard but like any play in a steering system you can end up with the front wheels wobbling a higher speed
