i do like the current MF steering wheel mind... why anyone would ever want to change that for an aftermarket thing to have a motor on to steer there tractor
is way beyond me, when if it was simply Autoguide Ready from the factory you can add whatever system you like with no interference
to any of the tractor at all.
We’ve got the Trimble system on our 7618 bought second hand first tractor to have auto steer and it’s cracking in fairness don’t really notice the motor . our 7722 is factory fitted auto steer not done much with it though

strikes me these (rough) masseys are being abused, and not used properly, I wouldn't take any of these comments seriously other than the dyna 6 gearbox will have issues if used wrongly, never had any issues with ours but they are one man drivers and looked after. If money allows I'd go for the dyna vt in the fergie, I drove a new 7720 couple of days ago with the vario box and it was very smooth too drive.
The 7499 is ultra smooth, i use it in stick mode all the time & just adjust throttle input as needed.
then after driving this D6 6718S for couple of days you realize why the VT is just better.
the D6 is ok but ive driven them in various forms for 10years past now & know how to use them correctly (I hope)
but also can get the best from the VT also, its weird i could jump in identical tractors & its like flicking a switch i just
react to both without thinking about it.... you wonder if massey are working on its rep tho? will they go double clutch like the rest
& give us 8 DynaShifts??? who knows.

I never fail to be amazed at 4 cylinder performance, 6 cylinder sounds nicer, and revs more freely but I find most modern 4 pots are quite lazy like a 6 and are happy plodding on at 1400 rpm just the same.

I’d reckon if a blind test like for like could be conducted little if any difference could be found.

your right apart from the far more pleasing sound of the 6 all day long...
is the fuel tank smaller on a 6700 over a 7700 i must look
cant say a full tank lasted that long but it didnt take as long to fill so that sort of answers me own question
and they like a bit adblu, something else ive had nowt to do with.

I do prefer the sound of a 6. Is this what your saying too?

Does,nt it make you laugh or possibly cry that some dealers unless its a big fleet order don,t return calls or emails about machinery inquiries, the chap that might change 1 tractor or a piece of machinery every 5 years is not very important to them. I,m with you, give them a chance, and if they can,t be bothered neither can I.
There's rarely a fleet order of tractors around here , this dealer would only be selling single units.
