Took the worn long boom off and replaced it with the like new short boom

So what exactly is the difference between the two? Obviously the boom itself, what about the frame bit that goes on the tractor?
Anyway that's a far better job, boom is a far more sensible size now

The boom is 8 inches shorter and the frame is abit shorter so that's why we just swapped the boom. Sits in nicer to the tractor

Yea it's grand, just from moving around the yard empty I notice a difference in how stable she is, not much but will make a difference with a load on

Wheel weights would be handy, but need a proper counter weight for heavy lifting

Wheel weights would be too awkward as our ground is bog and less weight the better, have a concrete weight which we can use

Reason I say wheel weights is with loader on tractor just a bit too liable to spin , don't need much to make a difference, depends of course on what you are doing, so easy to drop the loader off anyway

Just need to cut the front cross member off and reweld it as seen in earlier pictures as your loader came from an early 500 series tractor when the lights were lower

Not worried about the lights, as I don't intend todo too much at night. Two working lights up on the front of the cab anyway.

Not lifting much weight so can't see that happening, the 4000 manage for years feeding round bale silage when we had the cattle and all our ground is bog and they've managed so far

they do make a difference to the steering we put them on ours and wouldnt go back. Does make it higher at the front so doesnt look right balanced

Wider fronts do make a big difference. A set of wheels off a John Deere trailed mower should bolt straight on, they are the same style of rim and you should be able to get 3 rib 11.5/80x15.3s on them that won't be much taller than 7.50x16s.

where'd you get the euro headstock from?!, bought or made by someone? Do you know if it would fit a 880 loader?
