MF Dyna6 hydraulic/transmission oil level

I bought a MF 6718S, picked it up today, it's transmission oil was not registering on the dipstick. I rang the dealer, a new MF dealer, they came out and after letting down the loader and lift the oil level was exactly on Min. They say MF recommend they are run as close to minimum as possible because they run cooler, I would prefer to have the level well above Min during most usual operations. What are peoples opinion?

What a load of Horse #####
top it up.
Or better still sorry to say this, swop it for a Dyna-VT & its Hydraulic Oil is totally separate to the back-end Trans oil which IMHO is far far better.
Never once had Oil Temp issues on a D6 or VT & thats running a combi drill on both with Fan driven by Oil all day long, now if that doesnt heat the oil up nowt will.
Front loader wont get it that warm

In all honesty if ya ran it too low & massey wants too use that against you for a major warranty claim id bet it would be an easy wangle out...
Top it up, bet it advises in the handbook to do this...
Just my 2p worth of course

We always run our Masseys about 3 to 4 mm above the max mark on the stick, we do it for hill work if you run the arse end low on oil in the hills you can run the risk of running the hydraulic pump dry and starve your crown wheel and pinion of lubrication.

7718 ,7618 and 6480’s all filled over the max mark , filled to the line and they can barely tip a 14 ton hyd door silage trailer to the full ram stroke without the pump squealing
