I'd of sorned the bloody thing if I'd known how unbelievably long it was going to take!I think I need a garage !
We'll, 11 weeks In total... Was on stop 4 weeks with injector problems...! Luckily it's warranty but it's not the point...!7 weeks is a long time, going to be expensive that!
Doesn't sound good have they given you a tractor whilst yours is in
there was a 6490 i think it was carting silage here last week, left on a low loader, something broke in gearbox, just done 1000 hours, not very good i thought
New MFs are a very rare sight around my part of the fens, they have been trounced by JD, CNH and even stablemates Fendt!! What 6400/7400s still about look likely to migrate to other brands..................I really don't know whats happened to MF, the new machines look really good but farmers don't seem to fancy them
I'm not sure to be honest... Massey say the parts are on a shelf...! And yes, I haven't asked the full price...! Just lucky for the warranty...!What are they waiting for (assume parts),is the gear box housing to replace.Looks expensive
Ooh! Not good at all, sorry to hear. What's the back story / diagnosis?

We'll it went on stop(4weeks) injector problems... Had it back, 1.5hours later, it was loosing drive. We thought it was the vario packed up. It took them 2 days to do pressure test and things and they still couldn't pin point problem.! So Massey chaps came down last week and confirmed it was the vario unit(picture 3) but also something had come of inside and worn the casting which the vario unit sits in...!
How many hours? Looks like a fair bit of metal got shaved off that mounting. Can't be healthy for any transmission let alone a vario.I'm not sure to be honest... Massey say the parts are on a shelf...! And yes, I haven't asked the full price...! Just lucky for the warranty...!
