As an aside, I try not to click on links such as that in the OP. More clicks, more views just pushes such tripe up the news agenda making it more likely to be given the oxygen of publicity, which it does not deserve!

Well, the vegans wanted publicity for this, hence leaking the content before the event. It looks like it worked well :woot:

I’m afraid the save the planet movement is only going to get louder and issues like this which fly off at a tangent to the main issue (world population growth) are going to be aired a lot more. If they ever try to ban meat eating I think I will take to the streets like the French would!

This is potentially one of the best things that could happen, telling people something could be banned and that they will have no choice in the matter will probably make people more keen for it!

Nothing like telling people that they don't have a choice to provoke a reaction.
My thoughts exactly.

Surely mass execution of people pets which cause loads of unnecessary carbon let alone methane, along with holiday transport and central heating are more pressing issues to be sorted first

What do vegans eat ? Serious question. I don't see many nibbling on a cabbage, or swede. I spent 20 years growing organic vegetables, and wasn't exactly trampled under foot by ravenous hordes.
What's in these " beef " burgers etc, that look like beef burgers, but obviously don't contain beef ?
I believe the so called burgers are made with pea protein isolate and a lot of chemicals. Apart from that, I fear that the young vegans eat anything with "vegan" written on it in the supermarket, nuts and a lot of sugar. The ones I know of are very overweight because they eat a lot of vegan cakes. I don't really think the majority of them eat a lot of fruit and vegetables, despite what they say.

I’ve got a massive stash of vegan food.....silage.

All my animals follow a strict vegan diet.

Vegans are saving the planet by capturing carbon whilst they.......graze.
