Milk price 31pence but not really

I was talking a short while ago in the local shop to a milk producer who was complaining about how much hype there is about dairy farmers receiving 31pence per
Litre when the true figure after deduction is just over 26pence
Also he cannot understand how anyone would want to start up selling milk
A name was mentioned but I won't but he has been seen on
TV farming program
I suppose the bottom line is if he wants to borrow a huge amount to start dairying he is entitled to

IIRC from farmers weekly milk price league tables prices range from 25.0 ppl to 33.48 ppl, quite a difference!
My standard litre price is 25,25 with Muller but reasonable butterfat puts the milk cheque over 26. Of course, low fats would soon take the price below 25p

Yet I'm currently nigh on 10p more than that, but my income per cow per day is most probably lower
