I tell AI reps we use a bull, that usually nips it in the bud. We run a bull with heifers during the summer so technically not telling any lies🤣.
I tell them nothing, I used to come up with excuses as to why I didn't need their product but then you have them trying to persuade you that you're wrong and do need their product. So now I just say sorry haven't got time!

Shouldn't think so.

You buy the company you buy it's liabilities past and present.

The previous owners were shareholders when you sell a share you sell the right to future gains and losses
I'd beg to differ unless it was reflected in the purchase price.
Due diligence should have picked it up.

So who else apart from saputo can write a cheque to the ea.

Saputo will have been well aware of the risk or if not it will be a lawyers insurance paying.

If I own a share today and sell it tomorrow I no longer have any link to that company everything passes to the new owner

it was a repeat offence, wasn't it ? Or on going at time of sale, so buyer should have been notified, or picked it up in the diligence bit. Fair do's if it was missed, that's what lawyers are paid for.

There could be a shell company with x million sat in it.

I am not a corporate lawyer, but I fail to see how an issue caused by a previous owner can be paid by the new owner without a financial package from the previous.

It wasn't missed, as it was stated in report that it started in DC days.

How do you make an allowance in sale price for an unknown prosecution cost?

I really admire you @Sid
What it is to NEVER be wrong.
I was just posting the proof of what happens when there is more than a few loads on the spot market. It heads south.

Even the loads that are traded have to be in the right place at the right time or they get penalised.

Sorry to burst your bubble but that's how any market works. Supply and demand.

More self/Omsco justification in my opinion and of course the previous conversation on here where you were patently wrong on liability’s but continued to obfuscate.

Just stating the fact that if any dairy company dumps any significant volume onto the spot market the value drops.

Spot some springs is single digits.

Arla made the decision to dump milk on farm last week with breakdown , maybe its was in the wrong place at wrong time and such a significant amount it was not cost effective to collect and put on the spot market.

The liability for the pollution incident would have been factored into the sale price or a holding company reserves somehow.

Been there done that got the T shirt.
