There must be more people work at Foston than supplying farmers it's not that big, and not along way from Manchester & Droitwich

What do Muller/Meadow know is coming?

I'm sure a good deal of the information available to them is also available to us. Perhaps what they are speculating on is the point in the cycle we find ourselves. Intervention stocks are dealt with. Perhaps in 12 months time they think it's worth a punt having a slightly rationalised milk pool, hoping that spot milk will be cheaper.

There is only one basic piece of information to affect price and the treatment of producers supply v demand ….dairy farmers have still not grasped the facts that a supply in excess of demand depresses milk price and encourages processors to rationalise their milk fields, producers who are small or in awkward locations being most at risk of cancellation of contract , some companies now have a very distinct pattern of using these methods regularly aided by farmers willing ness to sign for them in spite of seeing their previous conduct.
No matter what your size of business, level of compliance to standards of production, and location the chance of termination is enhanced by a market that is over supplied and the net effect could be contracts defining minimum and maximum volumes on an annual or monthly basis.
