Should think we were all getting £1 a litre for milk the way cows were selling at Holsworthy today.
As I explained, the bottom line is subject to so many variables as to be unique to every farm. The variables, some of which I listed, can consist of an amazingly long list of both physical, monetary and family situations at any given time, most of which are nobody's business but the stakeholders, ranging from age demographic, whether there are heirs and how many of which sex, whether these and elders are being supported by the farm business. It and much more impacts on the individual's bottom line and how much they have to live on and whether they can, or even wish to save or they prefer to expand and take on debt.Never said I was.
My cows spent the day here and are back to grass tonight, I have a very little infrastructure. How would MOPF tell you anything about my bottom line when compared to an 8000l ww herd with a 200 day winter?

I feed about 75% more than he does but I'm guessing that perhaps he's organic or that his butterfat was exceptionally high, but a ton will have still cost around £210 to £240 if not. Ballpark guesstimates. How come a ton of @Cows 'n grass meal costs 300, but 1.8t of yours is only 387, or have I missed something, organic perhaps?
You'd know if you did as he said and looked around the farm.
Mmmmm not shooting?Best kpi I’ve found is time spent with the family
not for the next month.Mmmmm not shooting?
not for the next month.
I am so very jealous. I need a jet ski here once we go off the cow trackNever said I was.

is milk that short, or optimism that great, to push the trade this high ? We know what happened in the first lockdown, although one would hope lessons have been learnt. Virtually all ag products are rising in value, except pigs, sold 4 today, £25/head down. To me, there are to many potential problems, lurking around, covid, brexit, trade deals, these are serious matters, and no known answers. We have been buying cows, this autumn, and i am glad we aren't buying now, already been told of the potential profit, we could make on them !

You got the us election wrong.whats nextboris is he reason why a deal over brexit, has not been reached. Until boris, NO ONE has stood up to the 'commission', and they still think he will turn over, get shafted, with a deal that suits them, although his announcement, last week, talks are over, will have caused a great deal of head scratching. The whole job, of reaching agreement, has been made infinitely more difficult, by opposition politicians, newspapers, and some businesses, howling for a deal, presumably, at any price, giving EU the confirmation, we would roll over. The other major point to realise, about the 'deal', nothing big, in the EU is settled, until the last minute, and we are not yet there. Macron, for protection of his fishing fleet, must surely realise, no deal, for them, is disaster, we are at the stage, members are beginning to look, at how a no deal, will effect their countries, presumably, up to now, having been told by the brussels, we would buckle, if they all stood together.
My prediction, a cobbled up deal, made to look like both sides have won, by 7th jan.
Next prediction, trump, will be re-elected.
Why, the silent majority will be the deciding vote, in the USA, it is the 'trendy' urban types, that hate him, the rest, esp the rural vote, love him, he speaks their thoughts. EU, again, till now, states have left it to the comission to do the bargaining, presumably being comforted, by internal side deals, that we will 'give in', now the real talking, begins.
And I think I'll speak for most people and say thank god he was wrongYou got the us election wrong.whats next
Farage had 10k on trump so it's a win winAnd I think I'll speak for most people and say thank god he was wrong
Gotta admit though if I was a betting man my money would have been on trump
