Milk Price Tracker

Not heard anything but no doubt some people will be looking. It is possible to buy an Arla members contract off them but there are lots of hoops to jump through then it has to be agreed with Arla that it is genuine sale etc, so not just as easy as signing a cheque and you are in.
For someone looking at getting out it may be a lucrative handshake that could help them retire earlier and release capital straight away.

Anyone else on arla feel the dagger eyes from non arla producers?

While it’s nice to be with the best, it certainly creates division on a whole. Was chatting to a friend who’s with yewtree and finding things a struggle, which we all very much would at 25ppl, didn’t really know what to say tbh.. even at 30/31ppl it’s a hell of a lot easier, and 2019 has been by far the best year I can remember since leaving school in 2001 but we can’t go out and buy new fendts left right and centre.

I don't feel any daggers, plenty left arla because of the hoops we have to jump through, I am quite happy jumping through the hoops but we do need a good price and that's what we are getting so make hay while the sunshine's and all that (y)
Hoops need rewards.

Hoops without rewards can become significant costs!

No way I don’t think anyone should feel like that, I had the chance to join arla,
I’m probably on the lowest price on here, just Remember come support my farm sale

And will end up with Arla having too much spring milk if they aren’t careful

That is something that is being constantly monitored but not all additional units are spring calving herds.
More importantly we all need to be aware of factors outside anyone’s control be that Arla or any other dairy processor of the risks out there. If say coronavirus turns into a massive pandemic the knock on effect we will all feel be that the export markets Arla work in around the world or even the spot milk price here in the uk dropping like it has with the usual purchasers of this milk being scared they might not be able to move their end products out to markets.
This will hurt us all.

As I reach an age where long term investments in dairy look less attractive, I am already thinking do I get out now while cows have a reasonable value and even my arla contract looks to have a value ?
If anybody feels the need to offer me large amounts of cash for cows, milk contract and if the money is enough, a farm as well, feel free to message me...
