Is the milling wheat market done for this season given the current import situation or will it come back before harvest?

Hopefully as lock downs ease we should see some fresh demand creep back in. But no guarantees

Mills need to mill flour, everyone was talking of how horrific the UK crop was and as such mill buyers will go out and secure what they need to cover their requirements (don't want to be caught short), I guess they based their calculations on normal consumption figures, and therefore with the extended lock downs those figures were too high.

Couple into that the % of the available crop being higher than normal as milling (late drilled skyfall, spring millers etc) the main shortage is probably still feed stuffs. There was also a fair bit contracted last year that had no demand due to the first lockdowns and so got shoved into commercial stores (about a year ago) and carried over, that is yet to come out.
