Mob Grazing water issue

What's the best way to get water up a 100ft slope to a moving water trough if your water pressure is too low? I'm on a private bore hole water supply, and although the borehole pump should be able to put it up there, the pressure is limited.

Should I add a surface mounted pump and so what kind of switching mechanism?

Buffer tank fed by borehole then a booster pump to lift where you need water. Install a float switch on buffer tank to protect pump.

you need the pressure vessel to control pump, but if you are already pumping up hill, you will already have something similar to control the pump.

your cheapest option, is to increase the pipe size.
our system will not push the water up to our top fields, with 25mm pipe, but will with 32mm. its all about friction.
we should have put 50mm in, but felt tight- a mistake, which we overcome by using 500 gal troughs.

if that fails, a booster pump.

Would need to know the total length of the pipe, the diameter, the well pressure at the bottom of the hill, the total height difference between the water at the bottom and the top of the hill, and the required gallons per minute in order to figure out the pressure required and friction losses, and which improvements will make what kind of difference.

Guessing that 100' is the total hydraulic head, that's more than 40PSI, so will dramatically cut the pressure available to move the water, especially if the switch is set at 40-60.

did the same here, 25mm pipe, probably going to upgrade to 32mm and see how the pressure improves. Luckily, I didn't mole in the pipe, luckily just laid it above ground behind the fence.
