Moffett MFT

G'Day from Western Australia,
Recently purchased a Moffett MFT 7740, based on the New Holland 7740. I have sourced information on the New Holland 7740 but I am unable to get anything on the Moffett MFT. I think these tractors are as rare as hens teeth in WA. I had an issue with a sensor on the seat when its rotated, took a while to sort out for a novice. Has anyone got a manual for the Moffett MFT which may document other anomalies specific to the MFT. Thanks and Regards

Bumped up to 8340 spec with turbo and oversize tyres.
Rarely fit the loader now and just got the aircon mended.
There is a driver's manual but it's mainly a cut and paste from the NH one, probably with actual scissors and glue.
There's normally a few brochures on ebay and there's a very small facebook group, mainly based in Ireland.

Thanks Nearly. Will upload a few happy snaps of Miss Moffett in the near future. I'll check out the facebook option as well. Cheers.

Second one is in German but worth a look. I’ve a brochure for the original Massey based Moffett too if anyone is interested to see it

7740 with front loader in 1993 was £26k I think. We bought a 3 year old industrial (basic) jcb 525-67 for £17k in late 1994. 2 for 1!
Mr Moffett claims they converted and sold 500 in 6 years. Bold claim.

They look the part anyway their is still a few of the round where I'm from they were built in Dundalk about 20 miles away. There would be far more 390 versions I can't say I've ever seen a 7840 one in the flesh a contractor near here buckraked with a 7740 one for years I think he still uses it to feed cattle. Id say most of them the loader was never took off and they wouldn't have a great reach. I'd say that was why they quit making them a telehander was the same sort of money and suited 95% of people better.

Couple close here in 390T versions but awful to drive for anyone that's over 5ft and eaten more than twice a week;).

Probably nearest thing to a haybob as it's meant to do two jobs but it's not the greatest match for either as it's uncomfortable to drive and just too heavy as a tractor and too light on the nose and not enough reach for loader work.. Real odd ball machine.
Haven't driven one for best part of twenty years but seam to remember knocking my elbows alot as the shuttle and gears were just awkwardly placed next to your hips.
Never drove a New Holland one tho but it just looked a better machine

I remember seeing a 7840 version in blue, a genuine blue with NH front axle as well as another in yellow.
