Moisture Meters

Reading some of the hay making post, a lot of you state the moisture of your hay, what meters/tester do you use or recommend?
IE: I assume when using a handheld meter you test the bales as they fall out of the baler?
Or fixed in the chamber type?
Greatly appreciate which is the best for ease of use and consistency?

But i will say it anyway
You may as well ask Boris Johnson to stick his fingur in your hay as stick a hand held meter in it , and if anyone says dif they are wrong

If its a small bale weigh it , but you will know by lifting it . When i used to walk home from School , back in the days when a lot of hay was made in small bales i used to hop over the hedge if someone had baled . Even at ten i could tell in 2 mins if it was not fit by just lifting the bale and feeling the presure on the strings

From my post on Moisture Meters, am I right to say, no one has any idea of the moisture in their bales hay?

All I was asking is, whats the best way to check the moisture?

That someone who Im sure is going to post shortly in the future "I baled today, the hay was 14%" can you please enlighten me on how you got that reading!
