Monday’s Summary: Very mild in south and east -- wet and windy in west and north.

Looking like it’s going to a very mild day in the south and east, while wet and windy weather is the cards for the west and north here becoming very windy, Some sunshine downwind of high ground though, where temperatures will be highest, with a high of 17C/63F



It says mild up to Wednesday thereafter as we at metjeffuk have been warning, it is set to turn colder with hill snow at times this cold snap will last at least up to the weekend.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
