With High pressure to the west, we will see this building across Britain giving Lots of sunshine. The sky a bit hazy across northern regions as high cloud moves in from the west. Low cloud may affect western Scotland for much of the day, with rain the north-west Highlands. A brisk westerly wind for Scotland, gales for the Northern Isles. A north easterly breeze around the English Channel, but light winds for central counties. Feeling fresh, highs 10 to 14C.



Heads up for later this week a severe cold blast seems likely with Sleet or snow falling over the hills even in the south, moderate falls are possible in the north. very frosty at night.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
