Had a 3M all till arrive and I’m having trouble as it’s no manual and doesn’t seem to tally up with any online manual

Can anyone clear a few things up for me
How do I calibrate this machine with these types of seed dispensers, I don’t understand how the collection trays are supposed to catch any seed with the plastic guards in the way. Also the scale isn’t much of an indicator as it doesn’t tally up with any manual saying eg No3 = 20kgs/ha. There’s no calibration handle, can I do this via the land wheel? Bit stuck as I’m out with it tomorrow and don’t want to f**k it up and no idea how to 🤣

Thanks

Not sure about your drill, as ours has different feed rollers, but the calibration trays on ours are the tin doors. Once opened, they push forward to collect seed, pushing the seed tubes out of the way.

No mine don’t do that which is the bit that got me questioning what was happening. Looking at that manual I have to take all the plastic covers off, turn the wheel and calibrate it by the looks of things. Is there a hiding place for the handle?

I used a length of plastic rainwater gutter for a calibration tray on a Unidrill like that.
Absolutely hopeless to calibrate that type of drill, never got any consistency of rate, over and under sowing all the time. I gave up an fitted an Accord air seeder hopper which is perfect every time.

I can’t for the life of me figure out how to correctly calibrate this thing? The covers I have don’t cover the hole correctly and they don’t send the seed into the collection tray. Some seed falls onto the ground around it…how do you get an accurate reading like that?
