You can remap the tier3 Massey over the OBD port after a fashion! You can ID the ecu and then if the database contains an original you can modify this and write. Just no reading with opening

Just my opinion, and I may be totally wrong here, but I think tuning boxes are out of date at this stage. They were fine on older, simpler engines. However, emissions control on modern engines are the principle cause of poor performance and high fuel consumption. It needs a competent person with a laptop to sort it....

Yes, the emission systems are something of a nuisance, however manufacturers are legally obliged to fit them.
A tuning device can be removed & used on a different tractor if required. The basic engine control software updated if without needing to be remapped again. Cost wise, there is little in it & the tuning devices seem to have a trial period too..

If a trial period is available, grab it with both hands. You will know at the end of it exactly what the box is capable of, and an accurate report here on the forum would probably benefit a lot of people.......

Now then.... I prefer remap as the engine can be tuned. However can be lost if the dealer has to update the engine software. The plug and play have the advantage of being moved from tractor to tractor but are less reliable.
