Mosa PTO Generators

Mosa PTO Generators are now available in the UK. We have just added the line to our website, so if anyone is considering a new tractor driven generator, look no further.

I cannot stress how good Mosa machines are. We are still able to supply parts for machines as old as 25 years old!

TBWS are able to offer these machines at an introductory price.

See them here:

They look interesting, but two things put me off at first glance - 'Call now for best price' is a pet hate of mine. The other put-off is the specification table containing nonsensical information such as 'Phase current - xxx kVA' and 'Bipolar switch'.

Why the big secrecy over the cost. If you published a price and it was reasonable and in my budget I would contact you, POA means it's expensive and rules out any spur of the moment decisions as I have to waste your time and mine phoning for something that may not even be worth entertaining.

Any adverts with POA I totally ignore - if you can't be bothered to advertise the price I definitely can't be bothered chasing you.

I wouldn't normally have bothered to respond but I have just bought a petrol generator and potentially am looking at another larger unit - maybe diesel powered.

Good morning,
Grouse, i'd be happy to help come up with a suitable diesel generator. Feel free to email me with the spec you require on [email protected] and i will reply with some options and prices. Not all the generators we can supply are on our site.
I take on board your points and will consider what we do in the future re advertising prices.

Thanks,
Paul

Do you do a combination PTO welder/generator?

Although I realise you don't make the generators, there's something fudamentally wrong with the design.

The input should be on 1000 rpm especially on the bigger models.
By running them at 430rpm they are at about 80% of rated PTO speed at 540 rpm, so tractor would be running around 1500 engine rpm - around the engine speed most tractors make their peak torque and consume least juice. So not so bad is it :scratchhead:

But losing power through gearing down on the tractor and gearing up on the generator, ideally running straight through is the answer.

Thank you - only too happy to email you, but before I waste my time and yours are we looking at a cost in the £1k region? £2k, £3k, £4K, £5k or £10k ???? I can then rule out whether I need to waste both your time and mine writing to you, you writing back and me waiting for the reply. In the meantime I could have moved onto a product I knew was in spec and in budget.

Do you now see the annoyance POA generates - sorry but it just irritates a potential customer.

I'm afraid that I have to agree with Grouse, what is the problem with posting prices, what are you trying to hide? Come on man, tell us the prices. POA should be banned from this forum.

Morning Grouse,
We work with a number of different suppliers and machines at varying price points. Price is very much dependant on the spec you require too.
If you'd like to send me an email just including spec needed I'd be happy to get back to you with some machines at different price points.

Many Thanks,
Paul

So the 6 generators which appear in your first post - and details the make and specs - you have absolutely no idea what the cost is?

Hi Grouse,

Happy to price those for you. I was under the impression you were enquiring about a Diesel generator?
I've taken on board your comments regarding price and as others have agreed, we will be adding these to the site in due course.

Thanks,
Paul

Are you still selling these?
I’d be interested in a price

pto generator for a 95hp tractor

ideally I’d like it to run water pumps, lights & heaters for a day in an emergency.

(sorry, I’ve no idea how big it needs to be. Perhaps someone can advise?)

I’d obviously ask my electrician if I got serious.

or can anyone recommend something better?

Tbws haven't looked in since 2017.

You're probably better off seeking them out directly.
If they're still around
