Anyone got any good ideas for mounting magnetic GPS receivers on plastic roof?

Up until now I have cut a small square of sheet metal and taped it to roof with duck tape.

just stick your metal plate on with mastic/no more nails/ tiger seal.

Use 3M sticky pads or belts and braces epoxy resin, but it will never come off then. Sticky pads removable with care.

If in doubt what to glue something with…use decent hoof block glue. Sticks anything to everything (well almost). Paint it the same colour as the roof & you’ll never know it was there when not in use.

Arbothane concrete panel mastic it'll stick anything together as long as oil isn't involved

Stick some aluminium sheet to the roof as a ground plane, then stick the antenna to the sheet, both with the tape. It will come off if needed, but it takes some effort!

Double sided foam tape works fine for me. Still holding fine after a decade and fairly easy to cleanly remove when I don't want it to stay holding.

Was given half a tube of this stuff to do a small job. Pretty sure it would do yours as well. Messy to apply use one of them Silicone guns if you have one

We run older tractors which still have bolts to hold the roof down so we weld a steel plate onto the bolt head for the mag mount.

My 6480 had metal part to roof so could stick directly on it
