Hello,
I have just sold a ram and had a ewe lamb in part exchange on the same day. They have brought the ewe lamb over themselves and took the ram back with them. Can I send the forms in on the same day and date?
thanks Rob

You have not remembered quite what happened ----
The ewe lamb was brought to you on the same day & at the same time that you delivered the ram
Both vehicles left their respective home farms at the same time , crossed paths and delivered to the new destination holdings
You of course weren't at home to sign for the ewe lamb as you were delivering the ram at the time

Hope that jolts your memory

Once an animal has arrived on your farm you are subject to the 6 day standstill (England and Wales)
The only way to send anything off farm on the same day is to make sure it is allready in transit before the animals you’ve bought arrive.

There is no legal way of doing this with one trailer

Also, if you are within a 100 mile radius of Ashford, you may be getting your days mixed up, the movements actually happened on Tuesday.

Yep just spoken to a friend who works for the council in breeches of movements.
she said long as the ram left first and then the ewe came in later that’s fine.
All to do with timings. Thanks
