Mower for large lawn

I've got an area of grass outside the farmhouse - must be getting on towards an acre.
It's cut and kept like a lawn, for kids to play rounders etc on.

Currently have a little ride on mower - 1m cut, with a tube up the side to blow cuttings into box at back.

Trouble is it takes an age to cut it all - a full days job!
It is also rubbish if the grass is too long or wet.

What is the best thing to cut that area of grass?!
Preferably a budget machine too! (y)

Get a mower with a mulching head, we have a lot of grass along farm drive and gardens etc so bought an ex council JD either a mulch deck on the front fir about £2k iirc, it's 6ft cut and doesn't take long really

Whatever you get make sure it's a diesel commercial machine.
It will will last year's and always have a value unlike anything petrol.

Were currently using one of the Ferris zero turn machines. Can't recommend them highly enough.

We've got a nice toro with an 80" out front contour deck if you fancy a bit of a rewiring job

If you want a bit of a project I have a old golf course triple gang rotary with cab that needs some tlc and a new hydraulic motor, diesel and has a cab even

Got one like this:

Area is basically two connecting squares.
Loads of easy access.
Doesn't need to be picked up if I can cut it quick enough to do it regularly. Trouble is now is that it takes so long to cut, I can't just pop out and get it done one dry afternoon, so it outgrows me - then requires picking up.
Don't really want a tractor on there due to wheel marks.
Budget? Cheap as reasonably possible. Just checking out options really.
