Hi all. Hope u are all keeping well.

I have an issue with an older Lawnflite 930 ride on. It has started to not go into forward motion and when I release the brake there is a terrible clicking noise but no motion. Reverse works fine though. This happens with both blades up or down.

has anyone else experienced this or would know what the cause would be?

many thanks

Is there axle turning when going forward ? obviously the wheels are not but the splines or key ways that attache the hubs to the axle may be worn and the axle turning but drive not getting to the wheels .

Good question. I am not with the machine now. So can’t check. I will do tmrw. Thanks

Oh no not a 930!

The gearbox is directly underneath the seat on these with chain drives down to the stub axles, unfortunately it makes it a bit of a git to strip the box out of the machine.

It sounds like a gearbox issue, they're a dead simple box, only having forward and reverse in them, check the gear selector is moving it into forwards fully.

I think you can buy internal parts for the boxes, at least you could.
