You must use a seed mix that contains at least 2 species from 2 or more of the following plant families:

  • brassicas
  • legumes
  • cereals or grasses
  • herbs
Ive read this many times and still dont understand what is required here. Must I plant four Species? Two each from Two seperate plant families?

Or

Two species, one from each plant family?

SFI23 rules meant you could have two from the same family if you wanted to.
Sfi24 I interpret as two, and cannot be the same family.
They have at least clarified that linseed falls under herb, I spotted that somewhere the other day.

the sfi 23 rules were far more clear.
"At least 2 species from 1 or more of these families"

I suppose by definition if its in different families they must be different species.
Ipso facto 2 from one family and 2 from another minimum.

However interrupt how you want. Remember it's about achieving the aims.

Abit like music - sing the lyrics that you hear, as long as it fits the tune

They will still dump on you from a great height if you dont provide a correct seed invoice. Do not kid yourself that their inspectors will be any less lenient than in the past.

Is there a full list of what is classified into what group somewhere? We can add it as a resource here.
