Multidrive vs Bargam

Currently running a Multidrive 4200, coming time to freshen up,

Need to stick to lightweight, mechanical drive and reliable, which I thought left only the Multidrive as a serious option but have recently been made aware of the Bargam Grimpeur,

Has anyone any experience running a Bargam SP? Should I be sticking with Multidrive?

cheers

Speaking to a mechanic who only works on sprayers last week.

Don't know how it came up in conversation but he said bargrams a absolute nightmare to work on. Everything was completely illogical the way its piped and setup.

New ones are one hell of piece of kit. Go absolutely anywhere and tread lightly at any time of year. Not rocket science to work on the newer ones but the older ones have quirks. They are fpt engines with Danfoss hydrostats and drive motor with 2 speed drop box driving spicer axles. Muller or arag operating system usually on air shut off too.

Yes, we took over from Cleveland a few years ago. We have worked closely with them to ensure things moved over to the new company without any disruption to anybody. Using the same people and products but new company formed to allow the agricultural side to continue and grow.

The newer bargam sprayers do indeed look good but as we are talking about Multidrive 4200 obviously we are talking older machines so I would without a doubt go Multidrive proven machine with easily obtained spares and fairly easy to repair and maintain in the farm workshop
