National trust farms.

That's all too sad, and completely unnecessary. I went to some exhibition cabin outside Killerton House around four or five years ago which was packed with apocalyptic artistic interpretation of the Estate in the far future, but getting rid of the real, beautifully farmed context of the building is not going to ameliorate against climate change.

I am one of the tenants named in that article and cannot express how much hurt and upset the NT have caused our family. We are trying to put it all behind us now and build a new life. They need to be very careful in the way they treat their farm tenants. If a tenant is not of a stable state of mind their treatment will end up pushing someone too far. They have no respect for their tenants and do not offer them any support whatsoever despite what their spokeman says in the article They are horrible people.

The national trust should be sold off to the tenants

I am local to killerton estate, it is a utter disgrace what they are doing, as i said before they were given these places as working communities, They are fanatical nutcases, I just wish somebody with some power money and influence could expose it to a wide audience. It makes my blood boil.
The woodland on the estate and in their woods at little silver Tiverton are native natural woodland, they have decided that it all needs managing to create a open woodland floor, this is hundreds of big native trees, they are morons of the highest class . It has managed fine for 100 s of years before them. One rule for them another for everyone else. Please somebody expose these idiots.

If you read the Farmers Weekly article the NT say that they are "acutley aware of the impact on tenants when tenancies are not renewed. We work hard to support our tenants with the challenges they face"
Nothing could be further from the truth and they need exposing for stating such untruths. The reality is they have no respect for tenants and treat them as a disposable commodity.
The NT needs to be dissolved , burnt and buried before it ruins thousands of acres of productive farmland.
I am not sure what can be done about it but I, as an individual am very willing to help in any sort of scheme that other tenants can come up with to prevent this from happening.

First step is to unite and at least form an inventory of contact details of all NT farm tenants so the true scale of problem can be assessed.
The TFA in the two fwi articles seemed to think it was primarily a SW farm problem so maybe that is initial focus.
A list of all sw NT properties and a dozen interested sw folk willing to help compile said list.

In any other european country this would of happend and it really should.
Remember what they did in the lakes destroying that farm outbidding for the land but not buyig the farm so they could "save" the land by removing another farm from the fells.

In reality every common or moor they own, the graziers should put their full gait allocation on as a start, and just dont enter into the silly litltle "agreements" with the NT.
Every time they try to kick a tenant off, the community should sit in with them, cause gridlocak and have a "SAVE OUR FARMS" campagin.

The social media snowball should kill the NT Dead. Pics of buterflys and bees and flycatchers over sheep for the urban crowd who believe anythig with a ncie picture, to fight the utter BS the NT and rewilding bridgade spout.
