Many years ago in the borders with Ednam(Kelso) YFC. We had Friday night dancing on exchange, and then were told we had been entered into the Border Union YFC Stock Judging. I was nominated for the beef Judging class. Guess what we had to Judge and give reasons on??

No. Unfortunately they are not mine. They, however are looked after by the same vet and the same young lady trims them for shows as she does mine. They are a multi award winning herd!! If you follow the links though ,his son owns Meridian meats a Q Guild Butchers in nearby Louth.

Clipped the shearlings for the summer sales yesterday

It makes it easier for the buyers to see what their conformation is like if they aren't in full wool.By the time the sales come round there will be enough regrowth to see what the wool quality is like too.
By then they will look like the one on the right not the one on the left.......

The best fleece weighed 22lbs(10kg) - not bad for a hogg that's just a year old and clipped in March.
