Is there actually any money in this?
Got some land I‘m interested to tie into a long term agreement of some sort, What kind of thing do they want you to do with the land and if you create some green idyl, what happens when the agreement ends/ whoever is paying you goes bust, can you sell It again or are you stuck with it forvever. I’m guessing getting the diggers in and going back to growing wheat is frowned upon providing we are not short of food at the time!

Carbon offsets and the whole "net zero" ethos is the scam the politicians and business leaders have alighted on to avoid the extreme inconvenience of actually having to change the way we all live. The trouble is planting trees today offsets carbon emitted in 20 to 30 years, not today.

Natural Capital payments are still more theoretical than real at present.

I won't be taking part in either until the science and certification behind them is robust.
