Navara Tuning

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but just wondering did anybody ever get a navara re mapped?? I have one and I carry a lot of weight in the back all of the time and the extra power would be nice.

Alas, I never took the leap, as having driven it for a while, the Navara is quite fragile if I'm being honest.

The clutch / chassis set up isn't very good, and when towing 3 tonne the vehicle struggles and the gearbox / clutch pack / torque control make some serious noise when going through the gears, and I'm not sure it will last.

Im toying the idea of getting mine done ,,its a 3ltr so stands at 231 bhp now but my garage manager said it can easily go to 280 and its just plug and play

I had my v6 navara remapped and it was an animal, never had any problems with it

So an update. This evening I fitted a EVC throttle controller. The Aussie boys on YouTube seem to rate them.

Had one short drive in it since fitting and had the setting on automatic. Can definitely feel the throttle response is much faster. Maybe even a bit too harsh. But will have a play with other settings and see how it is. I was sceptical of it but it does certainly remove the initial lag when you move off to join a main road
