New 700 series Fendt

More interested to find out if they're going to fit MAN engines and new Vario box like the just announced new 900 series. But for now there's only news of (lots) more screens or options to fit...and looks like someone at AGCO discovered a new use for the Valtra parts bin.

Kinda feels like the 90's movie Sliver (minus the lovely Shazza Stone of course and set in a green tractor rather than an NYC apartment building :ROFLMAO:). Corrr Shazza.:LOL:

I see they failed to redesign the front roof line and have kept the "baldy" man appearance ughhh!! I don't care how good they are to drive that windscreen design looked awful 8 years ago and still does. Give me a Valtra T anyday over the 700...…………..mind you the new style 900 Fendt, now that is sweet(y)

Why have they changed the joystick/armrest

Probably for no other reason than Profi / FMJ / some other mag reviewed the last tractor Fendt made and said ‘Fendt have stuck with the tried and tested armrest, even though it’s getting a bit long in the tooth’

Personally I think that armrest looks to cluttered. Put some controls back on the side of the cab.

In pedal mode any one can drive it just like an automatic car
Quite true. There’s also no range select now in the 900 series like the 1000 series. Just the one range from 0 to 65 kph. Also no 4WD to engage or disengage as that now done automatically by the two motor vario unit which functions like a front-rear diff with active torque split.

Whether they carry that new series of vario box through to the 700 series remains to be seen. I’ve got my doubts. I think they’ll persist with the ML series varios a bit longer there and also Deutz engines, possibly even AGCOPower / SISU now too. The dash display on the marketing photo tends to suggest it’s not a MAN unit under the bonnet.

The irony is that the ‘new’ series-6 900 series keeps the existing dash, VarioTerminal and joystick and blister pads setup.

Oh I'd have fun wiring into the joystick on that!

I'd be happy if they just fit a sisu engine, fit the handbrake on the shuttle like case and valtra and feckin move the exhaust brake to a decent place.

Yes I'm fussy!

I agree about the exhaust break, totally in the wrong place, by the time my foots on it, i,m at the bottom of the hill.:ROFLMAO:

when is the new 500 due?
Probably follow a similar timetable to when the “SCR” generation machines were released. So around 12-18 months after the 700’s.

However they haven’t announced an actual date for the 700s. This is just “teaser” stuff. Maybe you’ll see the new 700s at Agritechnica in November and delivery on farm around middle or autumn 2020.

So the 500s in 2021 maybe? Who knows when exactly...only AGCO I suppose.

Woohoo side-brakes! Would like to see the LH shuttle be a little mor substantial and the Park-brake should definitely be moved somewhere more convenient, think Valtras have it on the armrest.
As much as an upgrade interests me I think the worrying factor will be cost, assume this is the Profi-Plus, hopefully then can keep on their current offering in Power spec to keep the cost down, bit like the Deere M/R?
Alot of buttons there, surprised manufacturers haven't moved into some basic voice-operation which could be taught in

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
